I personally feel there are calculated inequities granted to working class white men that are socially engineered to anger black working class men and other minorities.... and certain calculated inequities granted to blacks and minorities that are socially engineered to anger white working class men. The point is, it divides the working class against itself... it is deliberate. And it's something well researched and deliberately done in the prison system, the one thing that keeps the warden and the guards well in control over the inmates is their occasional intentionally blatant favoritism towards one race or another race, one gang or another gang... they deliberately create resentments and a desire on the part of the inmates to view one another as competitors for privileges the warden and guards can grant. Divisions like that cause them to be ultimately more compliant, and more likely to view another race or even another gang in jail of the same race as the enemy rather than the warden who is playing them off one another. If Obama chooses to play the same game he will reveal something, that the educated upper middle and wealthy class of minorities understands that it's interests are better served by cooperating with educated upper middle class and wealthy whites in fostering these racial divisions among the working classes and underclass who fight one another for the opportunity to metaphorically shine the shoes of the privileged (black and white) and grin wide for a lousy tip. I can only hope his time as an activist for those in poverty may give him a conscience.

As a former NJ resident, who lived in the shadow of NYC ... now residing in North Texas... I think that the image people have of Texas and Texans and the reality is only partial. Firstly, there are plenty of Texas Democrats, Texas Liberals even, there are Obama stickers all over the cars in more urban areas, college towns, and suburbs with more progressive attitiudes, and hippie colonies (communes) on in the countryside... which do exist. Then you have the small towns, the "rednecks". They do not deserve the contempt they get, they are rather misunderstood. To understand why they are conservatives, and consistently vote in rich people who continually exploit them (who they actually hate) and keep their wages down you have to understand where they are coming from... and where their resentment stems from. The really live in communities with worse poverty than most black ghettos because of a pride that they won't take government assistance. Instead they really do pull together with their neighbors and share through hard times, much more commonly where it gets more rural. They don't want to see a welfare state or more government assistance in a way that threatens the pride of generations of self reliance in poverty... they won't ever take that help. What they the government to do (which neither republicans or democrats want to do) is to be protectionist, have tax policies on foreign made goods and disincentives on American companies that outsource labor internationally to force employers back here. What they want.... is a labor shortage... enough jobs in our economy that employers have to bid against one another with the salaries they offer to hire them as laborers... so that they can have a better living. They didn't really vote in great numbers for either party because Mc Cain and Obama were for globalization which most of them consider to be the real problem, and most Texas politicians including Rick Perry (who talks about Texas seceding) are pro globalization. Ideally if liberals could take a more anti-globalization stance as a way of putting Americans back to work they'd probably find rednecks extremely easy to win to their side, they'd just have to drop the bit on gun control. Unfortunately big money backs both parties, and big money likes their labor cheap, does not want a labor shortage or to have to compete to hire a small pool of American labor and pay more for it. And so it is doubtful liberals or conservatives will really "win over" rednecks anytime soon. They aren't so stupid really, just hopelessly and stubbornly proud in the face of increasing poverty refusing help that deep down they believe will create a dependency, with strings, which ultimately would rob them of what little freedom they have. If you think about it, that could be true, even if they don't have eloquent words with which to express themselves. They'd probably be more receptive to Loki's idea of anarchism than any college student self proclaimed as a radical, in a sense in their communities of dilapidated homes without power and water and sagging trailers falling apart they already live in small communities where that system of benign community run anarchism actually is in place and functions... so it might be like selling ice to Eskimos.

A rational one, or one dominated by other people's desire to live worshipping a man who performs magical miracles. For, it seems, "Satan" DID convince Jesus to perform acts of magic. For what purpose? To convince those who would not leave this place, that they could have a span of immortality at some level of heaven as themselves, prior to moving on to do other work, in a new incarnation, as someone else. That these days the charge from Christianity is all about an apparent call for physical immortality just means they do not understand how it is claimed, why they must let Jesus forgive them, why they must keep forgiveness in their hearts, but also this came about because for *sheer millenia* mankind was whining about physical immortality, but simply put the break from this world to the next does not allow for much leakage down here as to what perceptions we must change. Thereby is derived the dualism of:this side goes to hell, this to Heaven. Strange how the side sent to perdition was just peacefully enjoying their humanity, while the other proclaimed religiosity, while killing whatever they could for temporal power here. Suffering isn't necessarily the enemy. Without suffering, one could never appreciate relief. Suffering shows your true character. Suffering can build you up emotionally and spiritually if met with the right attitude. Suffering is painful, but can work great good in the end. People who have suffered greatly can go on to bring great relief and joy to others in similar situations, and often times, make the suffering easier for their fellow sufferers. Great stories of triumph have arisen from the atrocities brought by man.

The only thing that keeps Mexico from taking back Texas is the army Obama currently commands. I think he should let Mexico have you. Not to mention people like you are actually given government jobs there. If Texas does succeed it would quickly become the "North Korea" of North America. For about as much time it took for the Mexican drug cartels to infiltrate and destroy all resistance.(lets say a month)

Secede away. Deprive the feds of taxes. Don't sit here agonizing over "why" - get out there and revolt, peasant. 1) Texas is a big yardfull of pussies and big talking cowards until it puts some kind of secession action in motion. How about that? Afraid to secede, I reckon. 2) Everybody in my district voted for Obama, so, our district *does* have to abide by Obama's commands even though Georgia per se, by your logic, doesn't have to. So, the state of Georgia is dissolved ~ except for little pockets of it. Then, when Obama's term is over, Georgia and Texas can exist again. 3) ... since i didn't make any of the laws on any of these books, I don't see why I should worry about breaking them. 4) I didn't hire the cop, so he can kiss my ass.

Texas did not vote for Obama. So why should Texas consent to his laws which are illegal? I kinda feel like Texas sucks because I am used to the beach in SoCal but I like the way Texas thinks. There is a new world order and Obama is part of it. I did not vote for him. Just thought I would throw that out there. Flame shield up!
