I kick myself whenever I am reminded that I have sadly never visited it, nor Love Fest, nor even a Pride Parade. I have lived a sad, sheltered, deprived childhood, but now that I am out of the house it is high time for that to change! -

Mon, October 12, 2009 - 2:06 PMI heard from a friend out in Seattle that there was a pro marriage equailty march there yesterday. About 1000 people. It is related to a referendum on equal rights appearing on the November ballot. There may be more rallies before the election. Keep an eye on The Stranger or the Seattle Gay News. It is Referendum 71. Vote yes to approve domestic partnership.
The Folsom Street Fair is in a word wild. Not all of it is my cup of tea (okay so call me vanilla), but that is the thing about a free society we can pick and choose our own kinks.

Mon, October 12, 2009 - 2:38 PMI'll definitely keep my eye out for any more rallies, but unfortunately I won't be voting. I'm still a citizen of California (yes, I will be voting on Prop 8 once it's reopened).
I'm in Washington because my husband is stationed here, but we're both still California citizens.

Mon, October 12, 2009 - 2:49 PMMan I am so looking forward to the PRIDE parade here on Galveston Island!!!! It is excellent every year. The hurricane slowed things down a bit, but we will never stop!!!! We have so many lovely sexually liberated sex positive people here and it is indeed wonderful. I plan to attend events all over the U.S. when I get my settlement.
I went to the PRiDE parade year before last with my 18yr old boyfriend and we fuckin ROCKED!!!! The hotties were EVERYWHERE!!! I think I fell in love a thousand times that night!!!
