Yes, you read this right. In a recent poll of 35000 people across the U.S., there were many interesting findings. over 90% of Americans believe in God, many evangelicals now agree that many ways to God are possible. But wait, here is a stat that nearly made me fall off my chair. Here is a stat which defies explanation: 21 percent of self-identified atheists said they believe in God or a universal spirit, with 8 percent "absolutely certain" of it!!! I bet you thought atheists were smarter than the rest of us didn't you?:-)

Re: Atheists Who Believe in God!
Mon, June 23, 2008 - 8:39 PMWhip that dead horse Dan!!! The difference is that they believe in the possibility of A God or Universal Spirit. They are not Christian identified. I don't call myself an atheist because I believe there is "divinity" "God", a universal spirit of LOVE that pervades the entire universe. That is God. WE are God. A rock is God. I dont think a true atheist believes in God. But whether or not there is any substance to your post, what is your intent in posting it. Is there some point you see as valid that you are trying to make? Or are you just using this as yet another opportunity to poop on people that don't hold your own cherished views? -

Re: Atheists Who Believe in God!
Tue, June 24, 2008 - 6:06 AMStatistically speaking, not nearly as stupid as theists.
Oh well. I guess I can't expect you to understand something like scientific data. Sort of well outside your purview, eh, Dan? When the simplest of terms is too complex for you to understand, it's cruel of me to suggest you do any "reading".
Liars, idiots, and professed religion - why is it that one finds them so often in the same body?

Re: Atheists Who Believe in God!
Thu, August 14, 2008 - 2:14 PMIt is very hard even to hint at *GOD* even as one closes up on *GOD*. There are 144000 who could eventually hint at, but the rest are poll and nothing more than poll.
