From the front page. I have some ideas to put to this, and really, they won't mesh with what this person likely feels, so I'll put it here for thought. Maybe I'll join his discussion there also. It's a good read.

Where did she come from? Just call me Jolson. I want to feel that panGasm is positive, soulful, and has no destructive aspect whatsoever. I feel this is so. My question (one of many) for the linked-to material is why we would want toabrogate the rationality of our reality, and why it would be necessary. I don't see it as necessary. I really don't see it as necessary. Human ity needs to take responsibility here, not imagine that it seeks to control its world through the power of the mind, for to my reasoning that merely shrinks our interaction with a universe that appears to follow some scientific priciples and laws, to some great degree. We don't want to live in our own private Idaho merely because we are too divisive to take care of these obvious problems with the technology we have derived, do we?

What form of tantra do you imagine is intimated here? I am far more versed in Hebrew mysticism, and though I know the eastern tradition is much different, I feel it is basically the same. There is some evidence that they stemmed from the same vine. We are one humanity.

I don't want to be cut off from the greater universe because we don't want to work on our problems rationally, and want to live in a world ( again!) where we have magical powers. I am against that, it would take some good deal of explanation to describe.

Here's my question. Are we the only life in this universe?

The answer has to be no. So what sort of effects would we be making if we somehow used our 'will' to change the features of this reality?

Now, scientifically: from our viewpoint, we stand at the center of a universe that, at its fringes, shows what are called quasars. These are likely the super-massive beginnings of galaxies, which most probably started when large stars formed quickly and died quickly. This is what we see. Massive black holes. Quasars, to the best of the understanding of modern science, are black holes that are at the perimeter of our time-like perception, extremely large and active, with massive accretion disks and super-heated jets of light and charged particles spewing from their poles. This is at the very edge of what modern telescopes can see. One may say that this forms a spherical envelope around us, but in what way does that place us at the center of this phenomenon? Only due to our location, and the idea that space is not warped sufficiently that we do not see such young quasars at nearer distances in paticular directions. What is the shape of the universe? Could such an idea be estimated from within the phenomenon? That's questionable.

My point here is: we aren't at the center. It may be that the idea is not correct that 14.6 billion years there was a "Big Bang" that spawned this space-time. We really have no way of knowing. Sometimes scientists remark that there appear to be some stars which are older than they should be. How old, I'd have to go find these relevant papers. Perhaps the idea of the P-branes is more correct, but I'm not very conversant with that one. Is the shape spherical, seen from our perceptual viewpoint, what does that mean, and how does that shape up with the idea of Open, Closed, and Flat universes?

A Flat universe might be similar in idea and scope to the established idea perhaps Einstein favored, that of a sort of permanent Euclidean plane, a Steady-State universe.

TIME FOR SOME GOOD OLD CLASSIC COUNTRY MUSIC

'Out in the West Texas town of El Paso
I fell in love with a Mexican girl.
                  Night-time would find me in Rosa's cantina;
Music would play and Felina would whirl.

Blacker than night were the eyes of Felina,
Wicked and evil while casting a spell.
                  My love was deep for this Mexican maiden;
I was in love but in vain, I could tell.

One night a wild young cowboy came in,
Wild as the West Texas wind.
                  Dashing and daring,
                  A drink he was sharing
                  With wicked Felina,
                  The girl that I loved.

                  So in anger I

Challenged his right for the love of this maiden.
Down went his hand for the gun that he wore.
                  My challenge was answered in less than a heart-beat;
The handsome young stranger lay dead on the floor.

Just for a moment I stood there in silence,
Shocked by the FOUL EVIL deed I had done.
                  Many thoughts raced through my mind as I stood there;
I had but one chance and that was to run.

Out through the back door of Rosa's I ran,
Out where the horses were tied.
                  I caught a good one.
It looked like it could run.
                  Up on its back
                  And away I did ride,

                  Just as fast as I

Could from the West Texas town of El Paso
Out to the bad-lands of New Mexico.

Back in El Paso my life would be worthless.
Everything's gone in life; nothing is left.
It's been so long since I've seen the young maiden
My love is stronger than my fear of death.

I saddled up and away I did go,
                  Riding alone in the dark.
                  Maybe tomorrow
                  A bullet may find me.
                  Tonight nothing's worse than this
                  Pain in my heart.

                  And at last here I

                  Am on the hill overlooking El Paso;
I can see Rosa's cantina below.
My love is strong and it pushes me onward.
Down off the hill to Felina I go.

                  Off to my right I see five mounted cowboys;
Off to my left ride a dozen or more.
Shouting and shooting I can't let them catch me.
I have to make it to Rosa's back door.

Something is dreadfully wrong for I feel
A deep burning pain in my side.
                  Though I am trying
                  To stay in the saddle,
                  I'm getting weary,
                  Unable to ride.

                  But my love for

Felina is strong and I rise where I'd fallen,
Though I am weary I can't stop to rest.
I see the white puff of smoke from the rifle.
I feel the bullet go deep in my chest.

From out of nowhere Felina has found me,
Kissing my cheek as she kneels by my side.
Cradled by two loving arms that I'll die for,
One little kiss and Felina, good-bye.'---EL PASO BY MARTY ROBBINS

<<<The future of the Universe hinges upon its density---the denser the Universe is, the more powerful gravity is. If the Universe is sufficiently dense, at some point in the (distant) future, the Universe will cease to expand and begin to contract. This is termed a "closed" Universe.>>>

I'm not into tantra, but this theory of the universe aligns with my ideas. I think this is not the first time the matter in this universe has done this. As black holes grow and matter is drawn together through gravity it increases with mass and eventually, with everything moving around, it will all gravitate together and reach critical mass. At that point I think gravity will invert causing a massive expansion of the condensed particles.

It takes an unimaginable amount of time. And as far as life goes, I'm sure there's another planet in proper proximity to a star like our sun to foster life. The reality of the randomness in the universe mandates that in the grand scheme of things this planet will not go unscathed forever. Things bump into each other in a random universe. And the vaccum implies the expansion within a closed system. Otherwise the outward pressure of expansion would have already equalized. I believe it will some day as massive gravitational forces draw the outmost particles back in.

This theory leads me to wonder if this perpetuating action might be an energy form for something much larger than we can fathom. Size is only relavent to what we know from our perceptions of size based on the pieces of the universe we have observed compared to our own. This universe might be but a heart cell in something unimaginably large. And I tell you, the way humans have polluted this motherfucker, I'm damned if we are not just like a goddamned cancer within this extremely large cell, trying to find a way to other viable rocks to infect them with pollution and destruction too. Mankind would indeed spread out throughout the universe like a cancer if it ever finds a way. Perhaps we are the parasites in this healthy system........

The simple fact is we don't know the extent of this universe. It may extend way past where we see those primordial quasars. They themselves, if one were to follow the theory, has a bubble of the same distance around them, where they see the galaxies to the opposite side of us as quasars, and us somewhere a bit younger. I'm not sure if this follows. I think it depends somehow on the observed speed of light. Just a feeling.

You are working that idea of Big Crunch from some presumption that there is a specific center to re-crunch to. I don't feel there is.

Black holes, by the Hawking theory, dissipate in time, if they are not fed.

The standard theory implies that space grew with the expansion of the energy/matter within it.

There's a lot to think about.

the fact that you insist i am using my mind to control the universe is not correct

the human heart is the cross-over between light and magnetism - as an electromagnetic being, i have the ability to align with my heart's desire in a way that causes the elements to respond to my desire

now, if you have all of which you desire blackbeard, i suggest you ignore me and my contribution

as far as living in an atmosphere that supports life-forms to breathe without having to eat each other.... saline bonded with oxygen is an atmosphere the earth has maintained in the past.

        also
at this time, the earth is recalibrating her axis and tilt to establish a new atmosphere. i offer the information about the principle of pangasm because it is a scientific overview of our birthright, pointing out that the elements that create dense form are responsive to personality. however, if that personality is stuck in it's crown (mind oriented), or in it's root (physically oriented) then the results from dense matter in the way of air, water, particles, earth and sun, will be random for the personality because that personality is mortal. when a personality establishes their center in the heart and stop projecting death as their future transformative event, then the results become as requested by the personality. this is the new frontier

i offer this with love and generosity
        there is no controlling anything
there is simply love conducting itself
mortality is a disease being called normal

"My question (one of many) for the linked-to material is why we would want toabrogate the rationality of our reality"

Where did I state this was you personally?

"the earth is recalibrating her axis"

          The earth is female?

"when a personality establishes their center in the heart and stop projecting death as their future transformative event, then the results become as requested by the personality."

Whose personality? Not mine. I am free to do as I please regarding my own personal eschatology.

          Mortality is necessary.

As to your other speculations regarding physicality being other than merely physical, or that we as human have some power to use our spirituality to control our environment or our physicality, I would say this is unscientific. Afraid of the future and all the destruction we humans have wreaked on this environment?

"however, if that personality is stuck in it's crown (mind oriented), or in it's root (physically oriented)"

Whose personality? Are you speaking about me? How do you know?

Andora, there is no easy was out of this. Humanity needs to take responsibility. If not, I would prefer it dies.

not your personality black beard, since you believe mortality is necessary and punishment is a solution
            don't sweat the small stuff

the power of personality is not a matter of control
no one has to abrogate their personal sovereignty in order to live indefinitely - since health is a personal determination
no one has to agree with this offering either
i am simply sharing some good news about the electromagnetic nature of personality and the human heart

you gave a knee jerk response prior to investigation, my friend, this is not my problem either....

the scientific fact that the human heart is not subject to entropy is established, whether mortals agree or not
the scientific fact that water is responsive to personality is also established scientific evidence of such
the dust that creates all blood and tissue as well as plant life upon earth is called microzyma and is also responsive to personality
THESE ARE SCIENTIFIC DEMONSTRATIONS OF THE POWER OF PERSONALITY
--SO FAR PERSONS HAVE CHOSEN DEATH AND PREDATION
INSTEAD OF THEIR BIRTHRIGHT...not my problem either, even though i mourn this unfortunate decision in the face of a loving and supportive PROVIDENCE

thank goodness for mortality, because that which is not centered in it's own heart will pass away - this is good news to immortal persons! this is the guard at the gate, the mechanism that refuses to allow that which is in rejection of it's own birthright to enter....this is mercy

You don't get it. I want nothing to do with all humanity at this point. I think you are all retarded. It's that simple. We are technological. We need to master technology, and stop trying to enslave each other. I don't want to discuss anything with any of you anymore. I think I'll delete this thread, and everything else I've started. Since no one will take personal responsibility for their shit, why should I want to talk to any of you? All people do is blame one another. There's nothing to learn, nothing to teach. Humanity will not look forward, resfuses to be rational.

"i am simply sharing some good news about the electromagnetic nature of personality and the human heart"

Seriously, don't try to state anything about science. Please don't. What about the gravity of the heart, the strong force of the heart, the quantum chromodynamic nature of the heart. Go live with some dinosaurs. It amounts to the same belief system.

"thank goodness for mortality, because that which is not centered in it's own heart will pass away - this is good news to immortal persons!"

So are you talking about physical immortality right here on this earth? We are not meant to be physically immortal here. No doubt about it. We never were. What is centered inits own heart? I don't get you. You seem to be saying something while lacking certain information. Honestly, I would never want to live here in a physically immortal fashion. This world is filled with shitheads. There is needless destruction all around us. Accept death, and further accept that *every person* has the right to go wherever they like abandoning everyone else. No one needs to be near anyone else after death. *Everyone* is entitled to be alone. *No one* can enforce their presence on another after death. We *do not* all end up in the same place after death, the lowest common denominator that exists here prefers that, but the rest of us want our privacy. Therefore: do not doubt that when I say death absolute, it means the *TOTAL* abandonment of all of you. And how I carry forward my death for myself after closing myself off from you needy people is my own business.

According to the voices I talk to, the Earth and Sun are female, the Moon is male, and the comets are male.

They're all cryptic and weird, though; it could be some kind of retarded allegory. But I have to confess it makes a lot of sense to me. Some people freak out when they find out the Moon is male and they say "no no no no no!" but I imagine that's just that sexism, fuckin' with their little minds.

Of course, most materialists would dismiss this sort of thinking, up to and including becoming angry that such poetry should ever find a place in human consciousness. I think that sort of materialist would taste especially good.

RESPONSE : St. Francis--- founder of the Franciscan order of monks and nuns---according to one or more chroniclers spoke of brother sun and sister moon and reportedly addressed them as such . An amiable turn of phrase, with more than a hint of cosmicity ......

<<<You are working that idea of Big Crunch from some presumption that there is a specific center to re-crunch to. I don't feel there is.

Black holes, by the Hawking theory, dissipate in time, if they are not fed.

The standard theory implies that space grew with the expansion of the energy/matter within it.

        There's a lot to think about. >>>

Given how very little we know about black holes, I dont even pretend to come to any conclusions. But knowing the origin leads to theoretical assumptions based on that knowledge. Without copying and pasting a bunch of factoids lets just say I understand the basic knowledge of black holes and Hawkins work.

Now just for the sake of imagination, let us say the black hole grows as it consumes more matter to the point of having gobbled up other black holes and with that it just keeps growing like a giant universal vaccum cleaner and sucks EVERYTHING back into it.

Every galaxy is believed to have a black hole. It sets there and gobbles up debris and planets, then gets swallowed up by a bigger one...Once all of the matter in the universe is condensed into oblivion, it makes sense to me that certain properties would reach critical mass and invert. No center. Just a sudden and violent expansion as the material returns to its original size and bumps against itself and some of it fuses and there's massive energies producing long lasting sparks.

Have you ever dripped hot metal or solder onto a hard surface? It explodes into little tiny perfectly round BB's. Now, condensing on the scale of supermassive black holes has to create new properties of the vaccum. It's so compact it is the anti-vaccum or some shit like that. If you took a balloon and sucked the inside down to an unfathomable vaccum with dust particles in it and were able to jerk the outside out faster than light speed, there would be no center, only random motion from bumping and expanding as the particles find somewhere to be. The mass of the particles would not be able to keep up with the direction of the expansion, which would be the sudden inversion of gravity, which is an instant physical property. The same way like polarity magnets repel violently with incredible speed, thus went the universe. BWWWOH!!! There! And I think it will equalize over unimaginable time as this BWWWOH! was the puff of energy created from the compression of all matter in the universe. As the energy produced dissipates, it shrinks back down and does it again. Hell of a dynamo huh? Makes me wonder what we are producing the energy for.........Universe size energy.....It must be one big machine or organism!!!!!

Can you imagine if we were a type of neuclear fuel for something much larger than our universe? (By nuclear I mean the energy from the expansion, not the typical kind) Would you know if a universe existed in our nuclear reactors that was the size of electrons? Perhaps this thing bigger than us doesnt know we exist....It's a whole different blast on god. Perhaps what created us didnt realize it yet because we are an unknown accident? And to be in its shoes, what do you do when your energy source communicates with you???????????

Perhaps we should listen real close to our energy.Ha!Ha!

What else does this amount to, other than a refusal to live in an objective reality, where our actions have repercussions?

Pollute all you want, just use "tantra" to change all the mismanagement. I will not live in that fucking dreamworld!

Sorry, that isn't tantra. Tantra, today, is overwhelmingly about fucking. You know who uses true tantra?

New Search for Dark Energy Goes Back in Time
        Written by Nancy Atkinson ShareThis

Baryon acoustic oscillation (BAO) sounds like it could be technobabble from a Star Trek episode. BAO is real, but astronomers are searching for these particle fluctuations to do what seems like science fiction: look back in time to find clues about dark energy. The Baryon Oscillation Spectroscopic Survey(BOSS), a part of the Sloan Digital Sky Survey III (SDSS-III), took its "first light" of astronomical data last month, and will map the expansion history of the Universe.

"Baryon oscillation is a fast-maturing method for measuring dark energy in a way that's complementary to the proven techniques of supernova cosmology," said David Schlegel from the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (Berkeley Lab), the Principal Investigator of BOSS. "The data from BOSS will be some of the best ever obtained on the large-scale structure of the Universe."

BOSS uses the same telescope as the original Sloan Digital Sky Survey — 2.5-meter telescope
at Apache Point Observatory in New Mexico — but equipped with new, specially-built spectrographs to measure the spectra.

Senior Operations Engineer Dan Long loads the first cartridge of the night into the Sloan Digital Sky Survey telescope. The cartridge holds a “plug-plate” at the top which then holds a thousand optical fibers shown in red and blue. These cartridges are locked into the base of the telescope and are changed many times during a night. Photo credit: D. Long

Baryon oscillations began when pressure waves traveled through the early universe. The same density variations left their mark as the Universe evolved, in the periodic clustering of visible matter in galaxies, quasars, and intergalactic gas, as well as in the clumping of invisible dark matter.

Comparing these scales at different eras makes it possible to trace the details of how the Universe has expanded throughout its history – information that can be used to distinguish among competing theories of dark energy.

“Like sound waves passing through air, the waves push some of the matter closer together as they travel” said Nikhil Padmanabhan, a BOSS researcher who recently moved from Berkeley Lab to Yale University. “In the early universe, these waves were moving at half the speed of light, but when the universe was only a few hundred thousand years old, the universe cooled enough to halt the waves, leaving a signature 500 million light-years in length.”

“We can see these frozen waves in the distribution of galaxies today,” said Daniel Eisenstein of the University of Arizona, the Director of the SDSS-III. “By measuring the length of the baryon oscillations, we can determine how dark energy has affected the expansion history of the universe. That in turn helps us figure out what dark energy could be.”

“Studying baryon oscillations is an exciting method for measuring dark energy in a way that’s complementary to techniques in supernova cosmology,” said Kyle Dawson of the University of Utah, who is leading the commissioning of BOSS. “BOSS’s galaxy measurements will be a revolutionary dataset that will provide rich insights into the universe,” added Martin White of Berkeley Lab, BOSS’s survey
        scientist.

On Sept. 14-15, 2009, astronomers used BOSS to measure the spectra of a thousand galaxies and quasars. The goal of BOSS is to measure 1.4 million luminous red galaxies at redshifts up to 0.7 (when the Universe was roughly seven billion years old) and 160,000 quasars at redshifts between 2.0 and 3.0 (when the Universe was only about three billion years old). BOSS will also measure variations in the density of hydrogen gas between the galaxies. The observation program will take five years.
