there is no comparison between Jesus and Mohammed. Mohammed killed thousands, Jesus killed no one, Mohommed encouraged the killing of infidels, Jesus encouraged the killing of no one. Of course Christians are not perfect, no human is. But the issue is not religion, it is people. People have killed under the name of Christ, but they must be inconsistant to do so. One is not inconsistant to kill under the name of "no god", which is why atheists have killed so many more than all religions combined! Mohammedans have killed large numbers and will continue to precisly because their religion demands it.

I have found that atheists can be quite proud and self absorbed also. It seems that pride is a sin common to all, not just religious folks. Christianity condemns pride.

this is a straw man argument. If someone is handing out one hundred dollar bills, I take one and you decline, how am I "less human", "alone favored" "borderline lunatic" or suffer from a "diseased ego"? These are just inflammatory words with no basis in truth. The issue isn't what someone believes, it is the basis upon which they believe it.

more unsubtantiated attack words. When people are unreasonable, reason itself needs a defense. In science, peer review is a process of defense for a particular hypothesis deemed to be true. It is silly to assert that scientific *truth* needs no defense any more that historical or religious truth.

another confusing sentence which makes little sense logically. Are you saying that just because people have diverse opinions that no absolute truth exists? And why should anyone live by your opinion over any others?

How do you know that reason is really reasonable? If all religious ideas are false and all that exists is the material, why would immaterial universal logic work? You want to borrow logic from Christianity and use it against religion in general. This is like denying the existance of air while respiring to make your statement.

We can survive as a race and entitlement is a basic part of our evolution. Its what made us spread across the world to escape others that thought they were better then us. (while secretly knowing we were better then them) Both north and south America have been colonized repeatedly by people who thought they were better then each other. It drives our wars and is at the heart of our diversity I think our biggest problem is that we are running out of room.
